This is spot on. Based on the scores, it appears that nearly every VDA opponent is taking this strategy vs VDA this year. |
Mostly right, but this has nothing to do with a local club merger, league cup is part of every conference, not just the mid-Atlantic. |

| Why would a team not try to win a cup game? easy answer, they wouldn't. Anything to the contrary is just an excuse on underperformance and parents being in denial |
| Colleges will love FVU why else does ECNL matter |
Makes sense I was confused as I am new to soccer. Figured this was a strategy since FVU is normally a strong club and do not have to rely on cup with making the playoffs |
Why wouldn’t fvu try to win? |
|
The "testing new tactics and experimenting with lineups" excuse was in jest folks.
Every team is trying to win their league cup games, and nobody ever wants to lose to a local rival. |
| FVU found out how weak they were against VDA. Now it’s back to work to try and figure out that puzzle. |
No puzzle to figure out. I read up on this thread and it seems as though the conversation was which team benefited the most from new players joining their team. I say both FVU and VDA will represent Virginia well in San Diego next summer. OfCourse if they continue to play well as NVA is better than both teams, they are just having a slow start. NVA will be the team to beat in the Mid Atlantic. |
| What age group is NVA doing this? |
All of them. NVA is the place to play. |
Serious question I'm the dote from Philly, which age is NVA the place to play? |
| 2010s and 09s will upset a lot of teams this year |
