Get out the down ballot vote to give the Dems 2/3 House and Senate and SC justices Thomas and Alito can be impeached for their corruption. Biden is still in the WH and can appoint two of the most liberal FEMALE jurists in the country and no older than 40!!!

Listening to this argument today, I got the same sinking, nauseous feeling I had a couple other times the last few years.

The first time was Trump's news conference with Putin in Helsinki. The second time was January 6, 2021. The third time was today.

I fear the fix is in and our country is doomed. I really do think so.

Nina Totenberg has interesting input on the history of the justices who seemed sympathetic to Trump’s immunity claims. It’s worth a listen. Their earlier experiences may have shaped the conservative victim narrative.

Can a Justice be arrested, tried and incarcerated?
They decide the law so they are the law?

Thank you! I’m very active and have been frustrated that many of my friends just doom scrolled but didn’t take action. Now they hold postcard parties. It’s maybe not the most effective campaigning but every action is something. Hopefully your activism will rub off on them.

Yes
The JustIces are about the law and make the law. There is no way Garland could appoint a special counsel. The court would strike down any and all attempts at accountability. These people are appointed for life and have immunity to all laws. The federalist society saw this and put the people in place to rule the country.

It's a nice thought but...how? The *best* Senate pickup opportunities the Dems have this year are Florida and Texas.

I think part of the reason the GOP is pushing Gaza (and probably sending the same provocateurs to protests they sent summer of 2020) is that it’s their only hope. Abortion and the total erasure of women is top of mind for most fertile women, and if those who claim their top choice is “inflation” thought a little harder about it, being forced to have a baby or several (that you don’t want anyway) is incredibly expensive.

The GOP and their handmaiden media outlets need to push Gaza and inflation (notice they can’t push immigration any more since Trump killed it as an issue) because the GOP is so overwhelmingly wretched and here we have a court that is giving a little amuse bouche of what the fascist feast would taste like.

There is no need for that. The democratic leadership has said they will not address court only comply with its ruling. The dems have no desire to do anything to change the court.
