People are going to talk about it no matter who she dates (because we know she'll write a song about the breakup), and I think if there was somebody single and more famous than her that she could date, she would do so, but who even fits that category anymore? So while people say "why Travis Kelce" I say why not? |
|
Why do I have a feeling Travis made a bet with some teammates/friends that he could get with Taylor Swift. 🤔
Travis was just trying to get with Megan Thee Stallion a few months ago. But apparently she rejected him. |
I don't think Taylor needs this stunt, but it doesn't hurt her either. Her fling with Matty Healey was unpopular, but not devastating to her image. This pairing with Kelce is straight out of a rom com, and is kind of fitting with the tone of 1989. Does she need to promote 1989 (TV)? Of course not. |
Yeah, they have similarly wholesome UMC suburban upbringings. Both have involved parents. Mama Kelce has a MBA and has helped steer her kids' careers. |
I agree with your husband. I mean, everything taylor swift says and does is contrived to the nth degree, partly because that is her personality, and partly because there is so much wealth and future wealth at stake. Pretty sad actually. |
I imagine it's hard for her to find romance because she is going to be so much more famous and successful than any man she dates. Travis Kelce could be a good match for her because he doesn't seem to have a fragile ego and has a ton of self-confidence. I can see Taylor getting swept up in these big romantic gestures. She's probably not used to that. |
| Just another gimmick for proles to follow, brought to you by Big Hollywood & Madison Ave. |
| It seems like a stunt but I also don't understand what Taylor Swift has to gain from a stunt. She's on fire right now and doesn't need extra publicity. Even the Matty Healy relationship that she got flack for was barely a blip. |
She has more than enough money. That’s not really a concern of hers. Let’s face it, she’s just having fun now. She was in a serious long term relationship and now she is having a little fun. And if the media goes crazy and it makes people lose their minds, that’s cool. |
After seeing who she’s gone out with before, it seems she needs someone hung and who knows how to use it. She doesn’t need any emo guys. |
' Re: the bold, what she has to gain is knowing she is the center of attention, and is staying that way among her fans and social media and media generally. Maybe she "doesn't need extra publicity" but once you are THAT used to being everyone's focus All. The. Time. as she is and has been for a while, well, you crave the spotlight. She knows perfectly well that everything she does the instant she sets so much as her toe out her own door is going to draw paparazzi, tweets, memes, etc. If she disliked that, she knows ways (and has money to pay for ways) to avoid it, but she clearly and obviously courts it instead. For good or bad -- I'm not judging it, I'm just saying that if you "don't understand what she has to gain from" any "relationship," stunt or real, you don't get that she breathes attention. Good or bad, too -- even negative attention (like being dragged for some relationships) is still attention. She doesn't need money, publicity for her tour or music, etc. She craves, courts and gets attention. That's what she gains from this. |
| It is hard to find guys who are comfortable center stage at arrowhead stadium like she is. And she got a view from the 200 level. Fun fun fun |
He does look like he’s big down there. |
