The NY Times put together a 40 minute video that you can access on youtube only by signing in, because it's too violent for under 18 to watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWJVMoe7OY0

You can see some of it here if you don't want to sign in.

Hey lookie, someone cherrypicked the few minutes that weren't all that violent out of the thousands of hours of violent footage and tried to make it look cute.

It will not change the views of those who believe the J6 panel and that democracy was about to be overthrown and the US become a fascist state.

21 pages and still this is the only cogent and accurate depiction of what's going on.

Wrong. ABSOLUTELY wrong. There are hours and hours of footage showing violence. There were several groups (Proud Boys, Oathkeepers etc) who HAD PLANS AND SUPPLIES in advance of J6, they had encrypted radios, tactical gear, zip ties, weapons, floor plans, designated "breach teams" and so on.

Trying to claim none of that existed or didn't happen is pure gaslight. Either that or you are clueless and brainwashed by far right media.

I'm decently experienced with editing home videos so I can easily see how even the NYT can cherrypick camera angles to make what happened seem to involve way more people and be more aggressive than it might actually have been.

I have to admit the reaction from Schumer et al re the release of the videos doesn't exactly inspire confidence. What is there to hide if there really was a violent storming of the Capitol on that day? At a minimum, the outrage only convinces many people that the Democrats are hiding something, which would be counterproductive. Let all the videos be in the pubic domain and let anyone watch them. Why not?

This thread is an insufferable example of internet trolls and Fox viewer’s gullibility.

You're correct that it could have been worse. For all the naysaying, disarming the Capitol Police was the right call. They controlled the situation as best as possible, while sustaining injuries, but preventing the rioters/insurrectionists from harming any members of Congress.

Was it nonviolent sightseeing? Of course not. Did the insurrectionists bring guns and other weapons, come prepared? Yes. They were foiled, thankfully.

Oh I think you're going to get all the video. It'll take a few weeks or months.

But i'm quite happy with the right being able to take a few swipes at left after two years of sideshow and well crafted narratives and choreography.

When you ask why not let anyone watch, I'll just say why handpick a J6 committee to where only one side asked tough questions in favor of the left? You know Cheney and Kinzinger had the warm hand of the DNC up their arse. This was ALL about political bias.

On a related note, Alexandra Pelosi (Nancy's daughter) talks about J6 narrative.

Yeah, you just keep on with that argument. We've all seen these videos and they're horrific. I'm sorry, but that one video of the officer getting completely crushed and crying out in pain is sheer horror and nothing you say will lessen it.

There's no footage that is going to make the violent scenes any less violent or awful. None. There's no footage that is going to diminish the impact of seeing someone throw a fire extinguisher at someone - absolutely could have killed him. There's no footage that's going to make us forget the rioters breaking windows and doors, stealing things, chanting to hang Mike Pence, pooping on the floor. You can try to persuade us that was only a handful of people (complete lie) but it still doesn't take away the pictures of a mob pushing back against the police ordering them to stop. We've all seen those images. Those are real. Those were may more than a handful of people desecrating our Capitol.

You people always say that Black drivers killed by police just didn't listen and follow orders like they should have. Well, guess what. We've got lots of videos showing these rioters not listening or following orders of the Capitol Police who told them to not come in. It's a wonder more of them didn't get shot.

So this is the best Tucker and Fox can do? I imagine it must be difficult to coordinate with editing staff with the time difference…what time zone is Vladimir Rudolfovich Solovyov in?
