Seems like you are horrified that you were exposed to a different point of view, a different perspective, or a different set of beliefs. This raises the question as to how secure you are in your own beliefs. I could understand your stance if you later discovered that this was a fundraiser for invading forces in Eastern Europe, but exposure to a different set of beliefs is educational, not an endorsement.

Not really horrified, just pissed because I gave them money so they can keep spreading their fundamentalist religious propaganda. You should not be concerned about how comfortable I am with my own beliefs. However, your post raises the question of what you consider education. I wonder what you find educational about the information according to which "atheism and evolution are the Devil's deceit". This is the definition of religious propaganda with no educational value whatsoever. This is a fundraiser for a fundamentalist religious cult.

I’m glad you did. You’re repetitiveness here for weeks is obnoxious. It’s wonderful they got so under your skin your incapable of letting it go. That it cost you money is just the icing on the cake.

I have to be repetitive because new posters keep making the same (obnoxious) arguments. It looks like you got the main idea of this thread (and you don't enjoy it anymore), so feel free to move on to a different thread and never look back. It's a free country.

Nope. You could move on with your life. You want to keep bumping this thread over and over to whine, then others can comment and point that out that all you’re doing to whining. Free country and all.

DP. It’s a great PSA.

OP should bump this thread every month.

Thank you. I don't promise every month, but I will bump it when Shen Yun fliers start hitting mail boxes for a new show in this area. People have the right to know that they are unknowingly supporting fundamentalist religious propaganda falsely advertised as ancient Chinese cultural experience. Some people may also lose interest when they hear that Falun Gong is supporting Trump.

My whining was informative for at least several people who decided to *SKIP* this show. And thanks to people commenting on the thread (including you), the thread gets bumped and others become aware of the scam. So thank you for not moving on with YOUR life.

Sorry for the double post - I had to make a correction.

I can’t hear you over the violin accompanying your whining.

OP created a helpful thread.

You’re the one whining.

Looks like this struck a nerve with you too.

LOL. Seems like you’re projecting. Can’t seem to let it go, huh?

You responded, so you can’t clearly. I’m just here to razz OP. Guess it’s working.

It is funny that you ask me to get a life, but you can't stop coming back wasting yours. I have the excuse that I started this thread, what's yours? Falun Gong member by any chance?

Probably a religious extremist or Trumphumper.

The lesson was: don’t trust religious nutters with your money

I wish I knew they were religious nutters before I gave them my money.

Lesson 2: don’t trust The Kennedy Center to host quality performances.

This. They’ve gone woke.

Hosting a cult-ish Trumphumper show isn’t really what I’d call “woke”.

The “about page” on the KC website?

OP here. Actually you are playing my game. The more you "razz" me, the more active this thread looks like. And I will razz you back by repeating things that you find obnoxious. I will take it as a win-win for both of us. Apparently we are both mature, we both enjoy it, so it is consensual.

Yay! Sounds fun.

I am happy you are so easy to satisfy. You know what? Let's do this tomorrow, too! Same time?

I’ll be here!

Anonymous wrote:I've seen the adds for years and I finally googled the name. Everything I read was positive and I decided to give it a shot. What can go wrong in a show presented in a prestigious cultural venue like Kennedy Center? Big mistake. Relatively early in the show you learn that "Between atheism and evolution, Satan lurks." Close to the end, they make sure to send the message again: "Atheism and evolution are the Devil's deceit." As atheist and scientist, I was shocked that I ended up supporting a fundamentalist religious group, while the show is advertised as a Chinese cultural experience. I am not sure what options I have at this point, but I don't want to just let it go.

So you’re a troll. Got it.

I’m sure the OP is happy every time you bump this thread.

I see you’re still bothered. 🤗

I think it’s great.

I didn’t know it was a Trumphumper show until this thread so I think it’s useful info for many people.

Keep bumping.

I was going to post this same thing. Anyone who reads the about page sees that this is a religious group. I'm a bit surprised that the OP called themselves a scientist.

I don't mind religion / spirituality. NOBODY who reads the about page can tell that this is a fundamentalist religious group. I don't like to be misled into financing fundamentalist religious propaganda advertised as ancient Chinese culture.
