How often should I do yoga and pilates

How many times a week should I be doing yoga and pilates?

I'm deeply out of shape and need to get my ass back on track.

Any is better than nine. I think 3-5 is ideal, but 2 is fine.

When I was actually doing Pilates regularly, I would try for every other day, or daily but working different parts of the body on successive days.

Be careful, there is such a thing as yoga overuse injuries, you can pull joints out of sockets. My doctor told me no more than 2 or 3 times a week. I know there are people who practice every day, but you have to be mindful of teh fact that it is like any other sport and can cause injuries.

Ideally, Pilates 2x/week, Yoga every other day, and one additional cardio activity about 3x/week.

Listen to your body and do it as often as it tells you. When in doubt, do it!
