Artichoke dried out -- still good? Newbie here

Anonymous
Bought a fresh artichoke and then forgot about it. Never cooked a whole on before so just didn't realize how fast I needed to use it. It's a little brown and some of the leaves are dry. Toss or still worth it? If i saw in store i certainly would NOT pick this one, but since i want to make to tonight, i don't know. My plan was a Giada recipe involving boiling it. Thanks!

maybe cut out the heart? if the leaves are dried out, they probably wouldn't taste good any more even if cooked.
