Best workout DVD?

Looking for something that provides good cardio with an emphasis on toning arms and midsection... Any great recommendations?

Insanity. Most of the moves target your core (and other parts). Very challenging, though.

Sounds scary (OP here). Haha. Maybe it's just what I need.

Jillian Michaels kettlebell DVDs are good

Insanity is pretty crazy--might want to YouTube the infomercial first! I have a Jillian Michaels (30 day shred) DVD and it's pretty good, especially if you can't commit a lot of time. The workouts are only 20 minutes, but they mix cardio/strength/abs in a cycle.

I really like DVDs by Jari Love. I know some of them are (were? I haven't had Netflix for a while) available at Netflix or maybe your local library.

Jackie Warner xtreme fitness - 20 minutes that truly count. I used to do Jillian Michaels dvds but her exercises hurt my knees (I read this complaint from other people as well).

I'm currently doing Jillians 30 Day shred and it's bothering my knees. I'm going to google this Jackie Warner video.

Insanity. I love it. But be forewarned not to skip your electrolyte and vitamin replenishment drink when you're done. I ended up in the hospital w low potassium after doing these workouts too much. I now do it only twice a week and do gym workouts on other days, and this is much Bette for my body (I'm 44).

Better not Bette

I'm not a Jillian fan, so I prefer a program with Chris Freytag (used to be an ExerciseTV trainer) called 10 Pound Slimdown. Chris also does a Walking Cardio DVD that I like. If you are really intense, she does the 10 Pound Slimdown Extreme, which can also be found on YouTube.

A couple other trainers I found through Exercise TV that you might want to check out their videos-
1) Amy Dixon - I love her-she's adorable! I am even "Friends" with her on Facebook and she occasionally comments on things I post. I feel so special She has a couple DVDs and YouTube videos, including Breathless Body and the Give Me 10 series.
2) Holly Perkins-She has something called Fitness360
3) Violet Zaki-I have several workouts of hers that I like that you can probably find on YouTube and I also have DVDs that I bought from Acacia-Weight Loss Cardio Kick and Weight Loss Cardio Sculpt

My mom swears by Leslie Sansone's walking program, which is gentle on your joints but not as intense.

A friend of mine teaches Booty Bare classes, which are inspired by Tracey Mallett's videos.

Another good free source is a website called FitnessBlender. They just recently added a search feature that makes their site much easier to navigate by length and intensity of workout.

If you have a smartphone download the Nike Training App. Tons of workouts with pics and videos for every exercise. They really kick your ass. I LOVE it!

I agree with the few comments about Insanity, but have you heard of Insanity Asylum Workout? http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/insanity-next-level-asylum-workout.do

It's amazing and I highly recommend it!
