I am trying to find a large tub of yogurt that is full fat and if its greek that would be a plus too.
The only ones I can see are non fat. DD is 11 mos and I want her to still have the fat but im trying to cut down on buying the individual baby yogurts. Ive looked at Giant and Target. |
| Giant (at least Peapod) sells Cabot Greek-style full fat yogurt. |
|
We get it at Trader Joe's, MOM's, Whole Foods, or a Mediterranean grocery near us.
|
| PP here, I've also bought Dannon Oikos full-fat yogurt from Giant. |
|
I think you'll have better luck getting full fat yogurt from a crunchier store, like Yes Organic, Trader Joes, Whole Foods, etc. rather than from a general grocery store like Giant or Target.
For what it's worth, I love Brown Cow and Nancy's whole milk (plain) yogurt. |
| At both Giant and Wegmans (in addition to Whole Foods), I've seen Fage plain full-fat yogurt. |
| OP here, thanks everyone, Dont know why I cant find it at my Giant, I will try Trader Joes and Whole Foods. |
|
If you find the type you want and talk to your manager they will put it on the list to order. Of course, if nobody else is buying it they will stop ordering it but it is worth a try.
I also have a very hard time finding single serves with fat. I did find Orange Cream and Banana Cream single serve with fat made by Oikios. |
| My babies and toddlers have all really enjoyed the Trader Joe's Full Fat European Style yogurt in the big tub. It's not Greek style, but the only ingredients are milk and cultures, so it's got a higher concentration of calcium than other yogurts with fillers. Plus, compared to the costs of other yogurts, it's cheap! |
| We get the Oikos full fat Greek yogurt at the Giant on Old Georgetown Rd in Bethesda |
I make the yogurt fed to DD, and use my own breastmilk. It's um, full fat.
|
To pp: are you kidding? The vast majority of us don't make our own yogurt. You obviously dont work and feel the need to let everyone know you are the most amazing mom ever who uses breast milk for everything. She is asking where she can buy full fat yogurt. Your comment was useless and a reflection of your own narcissism
|
Wow, way to read into things. I actually DO work full time. But full-fat yogurt IS sometimes hard to find, and good nutrition is important. I'm not at ALL the most amazing mom and I don't use breast milk for everything. I was giving OP an option of where she might be able to get full-fat yogurt. That's all. |
| I have found Stonyfield Farms plain whole milk at Harris Teeter, which is my weekly store. Second that Whole Foods has a much better selection, as does Mom's and Trader Joe's, but none of those places is super convenient for me. The SF plain is delicious, though....I have started eating it, too (usually get low or non fat), because it's good without adding sugar. |
| Giant carries Stonyfield organic plain whole milk yogurt. I've never had a problem finding it. |
