It's hard to tell if this is a serious problem, or a sock puppet stirring up trouble for their own particular reasons.

Frankly, it's hard to determine exactly what the problem is, much less why we should care about it.

Am I overthinking, or is this a sock puppet?

It is a strange thread and it looks like the OP did sock puppet one message. But, it was fairly minor and could possibly be interpreted as not sock puppetting (though I wouldn't accept that interpretation).
