Does your preschool do a graduation ceremony?

So disappointed my DD school doesn't. Her brother went to private last year and they did an amazing ceremony. I am considering sending DD part-time to the private school in order to do it. If only it weren't so far away....

No idea. Not a big deal either way.

When I was in preschool, they did a graduation ceremony.

Changing schools solely for the preschool graduation ceremony must be one of the nuttiest posts on DCUM.

No, thank goodness.

No...I'm sad that they did not do one today. Just a small, no frills ceremony would have been nice. But, I wouldn't change schools for that...

+1

No, our preschool does not do one.

Yes and I thought it was ridiculous.

Our co-op does one, as did the daycare our kids used to attend. On the one hand it's cute, and on the other it's a little silly for four and five year olds to be graduating.

Ridiculous.

Yes and I'm dreading it. My 4yr old doesn't need a cap and gown. It's preschool, for goodness sake. A picnic with the parents and hugs from the teachers should suffice.

A mom in DD's class is actually sending out invitations to a post-ceremony graduation party at their house. craziness.

Yes and it was sweet.

Ours does an end of year program for the whole school and then a separate ceremony for the pre-K kids. Too much, I think.
