Does your preschool do a graduation ceremony?

Ours does one and I am not a fan. I think graduation should be a special time and one should only wear a cap and gown 2 times in their life (or one if they don't go to college).

Yes, ours did. I had to change travel plans for it too. Was not happy about that considering my kid doesn't even remember it. But it was sweet.

Preschool graduations are ridiculous, especially when they have the kids wear caps and gowns.

The ceremony is bad enough, but the cap and gown is plain stupid.

Changing schools woud be crazy. If your kid s like mine, she'll like a family celebration -- favorite restaurant? Fancy dessert? -- just as much.

I remember my K graduation. It was a big deal to me because we learned songs and I remember practicing and being really excited. I even remember the actual day, lining up, the performance and my cap and gown. I didn't have extracurriculars as a kid so this is one "big" moment I remember from young childhood.

OP, I think these things are awesome as well.

Ours does for Junior-K. It is the same daycare that she has gone to since the age of 3 so I like it. It's kind of capping off all of our years there, before the kids scatter to all different kindergartens.

yes my school does. It is always interesting. the staff use their God giving talent, to make it creative where parents and child can enjoy and remember. short and sweet

Uh, really?!?! They use cap & gowns for "graduation" at some preschools?

Our DS's school has a little celebration on the last day, but it's pretty casual.

Silly- for pre-school kids to do graduation ceremony.
Nuttiest in DC moms !
Also to change schools for the sake of a silly ceremony!!

Yes, but we are traveling so she'll miss it.

We don't have one and I think they are overkill. But, I can't believe there are schools that actually do one with a cap and gown? No way. That is crazy.

She sounds fun. I hope she got a graduation-themed cake!
