Cute new small house in mclean

Anonymous
What does everyone think? At first the price looked good but upon further investigation the house is a little bit on the smaller side.

4800 - 1290 = 3523

I am also more open to buying this house because it looks more modest.

BwaHaHaHa. Small house? SMALL house?

Agree. That is no small house. My house is slightly smaller than that and still way more than we need as a family of 4 with out of town relatives.

Also, did anyone else notice the address?!?! WASP lane? Almost like its describing the kind of buyer they want...

I am a wasp and I love this house!

I think its a cute house I don't understand why you think it's big. Most of the new houses in mclean are like 5000 SQRFT

Yes, and this one is 4800. Its BIG. Just 'cause the others around it are bigger, does not make it small.

No I mean it's 4800 SQRFT counting the basement not 4800 SQRFT + the basement. It's pretty average to small for a new build.

Christ, you belong on WASP lane.

There are homes in Mclean, especially in 22101, that are small. Especially those built in the 60s and 70s like many of them were.

i expected to find something like this:

or this is more typical of the architecture (ramblers and splits, in the older part of mclean).

Agree that anything over 2000 sq ft can't really be called small, even in mclean.

Why because I want a house that is considered small to average in most of the united states? You mean the WASP parts of the united states?

I am talking about new houses, no one builds a new house that small.

NO INTERIOR PICS = KNOCK DOWN.

You know this right, PP?

OP, buy what YOU like. There an awful lot of jealous people here who want you to feel pummeled as they are. Don't bother with them. They have their own problems, and are desperately looking for a target.

Just because they can't afford a nice house close in, they will be damned if you can. Ignore them like the plague to society that they are.

No, because you said you think a 4800 sq foot house is small, unless I'm misunderstanding you.

Its cute and pretty walkable. The street is pretty tight back there - not much of a lot.

+1

And again, the claim that this is small by US standards? Stop. Just stop. You are making a fool of yourself with this nonsense.
