On cycle two of Clomid and TI. Seeing RE on Friday. What questions to ask?

I am on round 2 of Clomid and timed intercourse. I have not seen my RE since before round 1 started. I see the nurses for my monitoring, they confer with the doctor, then call to deliver my results and instructions. I made the appointment with my RE because I felt like we should connect and chat about things, ask what he thinks about how I am responding to the Clomid, if he has any concerns. How many unsuccessful attempts before we move onto something else. Things like that.

Any suggestions of specific things to ask about from those of you who have BTDT? It is also worth noting that I have PCOS.

Assuming you have done all testing with your RE, I would ask about moving towards an IUI.

You're RE will prob use this time to talk to you about IUI's. I can't think if any particular questions to ask since you haven't given us any specific info about your follicles, hormone levels, cyst info, etc.

OP here. During my original ultrasound, I had cysts, but they have since disappeared and it doesn't seem that they have reappeared since then (January).

During cycle 1 of Clomid and TI, I had follicles that never quite got big enough on my 50mg dosage, so they started me on 100mg. This was enough for my follicles to get just barely big enough (I had one that made it to the 17-18 range). Used the trigger shot and had TI. Got my period 6-7 days after I took the trigger shot.

This time around, I took 100mg of Clomid last Weds-Sun. Went for monitoring yesterday and my estrogen is rising, and I have a couple of follicles that are coming along.

I guess it is worth noting that when I was on the 50mg dosage of Clomid, my hormone levels were wonky. The nurse was surprised every time. We thought they were going up, then on my next visit they decreased, only to shoot way back up on a subsequent visit before bottoming out. Once they upped my dosage my hormone levels were good.

clomid did not work for me and I wasted more time on it then I should have. I would move to IUI. The meds seemed better to me- stronger or something. I was ready for my trigger shot on CD's 12-16 (did 3 rounds).

I would ask about why you got period 6-7 days after shot- this is a really short LP. Honestly, I would go into the meeting ready to talk about IUI's and any questions you have regarding this procedure. I know at Shady Grove you have to take an injections class with your partner before they will begin so get that scheduled as soon as you can. At least, this is how it was 2 yrs ago.

OP here -- thanks. We are with CFA. We basically know nothing about IUIs at this point, but good to know the topic may be broached.
