best premium jeans for overweight women

Anonymous
I am 5'4" and weigh about 140 - I am small framed so this is a lot of extra weight for me (I used to be 120ish but have gained a lot post -menopause and need to work on that - not the point here!). Most of this extra weight is in my waist - I'm very apple shaped now. I would like to invest in a decent pair of jeans to try to boost my self-image - can anyone recommend a good pair for my size? Thank you.

I was you 6 months ago. I lived in LOFT size 8 curvy ankle cut that fit me perfectly (they were full length on me). I lost 15 pounds, but sadly I'm still short.

I had exact same measurements a few months ago. Lucky Super Stretch Sofia are amazing if you are an apple!! They come in mid rise but aren't frumpy and material stretches so you don't get muffin top. But best part, material doesn't stretch out throughout the day.

They have them for $79 at the Lucky outlet at Leesburg.

You dont sound overweight at all! And I wear ON Rockstar jeans. They will fall apart in 4 months. But that's the best idea I got.

Don't think CK will fit an apple! Lucky or Gap are the only ones that don't look stupid on me.

CK are too low-wasted for apples, IMO. I like jeans a little higher, but not the NYDJ's jeans that hover your belly button. DKNY usually works.

You are welcome.

These are horrible. Sorry! I have owned several pairs and they are SO high waisted! When I sit down, they come up right beneath my boobs. Really uncomfortable. And terribly overpriced.

OP, sorry I don't have a recommendation. I'm fatter than you but refuse to buy expensive jeans in my current size. So I just wear cheap ones: Levis, Gap, even Forever 21.

Do not buy these. They are the definition of mom jeans.

This brand is always recommended and I've tried on at least a dozen pairs. I have not found anything the least bit flattering and every pair I've tried goes to my belly button. They do prevent muffin top. Other than that, nothing, IMO.
