GC played Bullis fairly tight a few weeks ago.

I don't think the Falcons are a "push-over" this season like they have been in the previous years which is a good thing for area lacrosse fans.

I think the Cadets win this afternoon 9-6. I fully expect it to be a tight game.

22 team? SJC went 15-3 last year and beat every DMV team that would schedule them. IAC loses credibility with their weak scheduling.

Fact: Every single national lacrosse publication ranked Georgetown Prep higher than the Cadets last season in the end of year polls. Let’s not forget SJC lost to a no name program, the Academy of the New Church last Spring too.

Facts: The only folks on here who actually think SJC was king of the DMV last spring are those affiliated with military road.

Fact: SJC is experiencing a rebuild season in 2024.

Fact - Prep wouldn’t play.

Fact: No team in DC has a better out of conference win this year than SJC's victory over Taft.
Fact: Prep was ranked higher last year and would have been FAVORED to win, but could have lost to top FOGO and goalie.
Fact: They did not play.
Fact: WCAC and IAC could agree to hold an annual, end of year game of champions. They don't.
Fact: SJC and Gonzaga both play tougher 2024 schedules than any IAC team.
Fact: SJC is down this year compared to past 3 years.

Win or lose, GC is on the rise. Remember that this is only year 2 for Coach Smith. Give him a couple more years and let's see how GC does against WCAC as well as other DMV teams. Just the fact that GC is up this year is a good thing for DMV lacrosse.

Would not be surprised if GC pulls out a win. All the pressure is on SJC. No one really expects GC to win. If they lose, people will say that they haven't played anyone this year... BUT if they somehow pull out a win - just another win for the team on the rise.

Haven't seen anything coming from SJC about #4 or if they played this team.... IAC folks makeup game results in their mind yet all we can really go by are the actual results of the last few times the teams played and everyone can look those up.

Agree… rooting for them to have sustainable success and can emerge as a regional lax power.

Landon is this years jewel from the IAC but they lost to St. Pauls. Nothing to see here.

you know Duke won a national championship a couple of seasons ago after they suffered to loss to High Point the first or second week of the season.

Landon checks in at #10 in the country and Gonzaga cracks the top 25 in the latest IL Lacrosse Poll.

I get it, these rankings are irrelevant because the Cadets are having a down season.

In my eyes, the only poll that matters is the final poll in May. Its not how you start, its how you finish which defines a team.

Not sure about IAC parents making up hypothetical results. I think the results speak for themselves, especially for Landon. Until proven otherwise, or unless the Bears lose some upcoming games, they are clearly head and shoulders the best team in the dmv for whatever that’s worth.

How is that when teams have not played each other. The only head and shoulders best team in the DMV the last few years was the 2022 SJC team. All others it was debatable and on any given nights.

I’m not a SJC fan. But I respect them. Good coach good program. But the SJC booster in here needs to chill. Don’t let the comments get to you! You know you’re good. Like the other poster said, it only matters how you finish.
