Have you ever moved because of crazy neighbors?

Without elaboration here.......either you have or have not......do tell.....

Almost after being constantly harassed by our male neighbor. Then,he threatened to kill my roommate and later tried to drunkenly attack us on the street (his friend held him back). Restraining orders followed and after he was charged, the judge ordered him to move. So thankfully we did not have to. I was 24 at the time.

My new neighbor "N" did. She left a home 3 years ago with her husband after a casual friendship with their neighbor turned into the woman acting all crazy, feeling like she was being "dissed" and ignored. Then the "dissed" neighbor got her husband in on the act, defending his crazy wife and accusing N and her husband of being uppity and backstabbers.

Oh, and did they want to swing?

Ummmmmm....

I'm seriously considering it. It won't be the only reason, but it may soon be enough to push me over the edge.

Yes.

It was part of the reason.

OP here. If you did nothing wrong, would it still be considered acceptable for you to move? At what point is it worth moving?

Was it mostly just jealousy (and subsequent games) on the crazy neighbors part?

Yes. It was that or a 9mm to the neighbor's testicles.

If you're my upstairs neighbor, then allow me to offer a gentle shove.

Yes! The woman downstairs was a professional complainer and was bothered by everything. We received a number of letters from the landlord asking us among other things not to talk after 6 pm, not to go to the bathroom after 8 pm, not to have guests overnight, not to open garage (the laundry was there) after 5 pm, vacuum clean only before 3pm during business days, etc etc etc. Life became hell and we moved 2 months before the lease was up (had to pay through these2 months though).

No, but the increasing number of loud parties in my previous neighborhood and the revolving door of annoying renters next door to my townhouse was a big factor in me moving out and buying a single family house the next time around.

We were planning to move out of our (luxury downtown) condo anyway to make room for a growing family, but we certainly moved faster after our downstairs neighbor banged on our door and showed my husband a gun because he was so furious that our two 7 week old kittens were playing running around. The police told him he might be a bit too sensitive to live in a condo building, but I was too terrified by it all to stay a minute longer than necessary.

Yes. Hubby had some kind of relationship with neighbor wife. We divorced, I got stuck there in the house next to her. Finally just got out recently. Fresh start. Really hard to have to see her house and car every day.

Yes. Neighbor below us played loud music from 7am to 11pm every single fucking day. Semi "retired" 28 yo with money and friends, drove us mad.

I didn't but my neighbor did...
