Considering the fire, the smoke, etc. that DNA turned up on a piece of pizza is mind-boggling.

And if they had had a dog, the pizza crust would not be there, and the crime would be unsolved.

The dogs were put in the back yard. Try to keep up. It is still a mystery why they were not making noise.

It's a mystery why the dogs were not making noise? Because some dogs, like mine, don't bark when kept outside. At least one mystery has been solved.

Not if they think he's the grunt and are hoping he will flip on who organized this whole thing. He's just the dumbass who had to take night shift and got hungry for pizza.

He might have taken control of the kid first and then one at a time the adults did what he asked to protect the boy. The whole thing had to have started before the housekeeper would normally have left for the day, so the two women and the boy were already restrained when Savvas got home.

Wondering too if they were distracted by food or something given to them.

Sheesh. He reminds me of the guy they arrested in the Charlottesville murders.

They seemed to react pretty quickly by having Savvas call him before he even got around to the side of the house. If everyone was tied up, his accomplice must have known who that was.

Hmmm. This is an interesting point.

Not necessarily an accomplice, housekeeper could ID him.

Knowing the banks, there will be a fee for this service.

I bet it was a business account from AIW and that was all they had available. People maybe think 40K isn't alot for a business but it depends on when payments were received and when they paid their bills. Not every person that is a "millionaire" has millions in the bank or money readily available. Most people with money put their money into an asset that makes them money vs slim to none from the bank...just smart business.

He had to at a minimum tie up Amy and Philip at the same time. I guess that wasn't difficult. Then overwhelm SS.
But then presumably SS had his arms free to make phone calls. Plus Daron had to monitor these calls exceedingly closely to ensure he wasn't calling 911 or a friend.
I guess at the same time the others were just tied up (or dead). But it still seems like an awful lot of moving parts for one criminal to manage.

Agree.

From the timeline, it seems likely that SS wasn't home initially. I think it would be easy for him to handle the other three victims, if only by threatening harm to the son if the others don't comply with everything he says. SS comes home to the three tied up with a knife to their throat and agrees to be tied up and set the wheels in motion for getting the money as well.

I'm not saying that he did this without an accomplice, but I think he could have eaten 2 pizzas himself. I know he isn't the tallest guy, but he is HUGE. He could pack away 2 pizzas.

Or maybe dominos had a special?

From earlier reports the husband of the HK said he felt as though someone was behind the door plus he heard shuffling. The perp was probably moving SS around to get the package because right before the husband of the HK arrived the assistant was there dropping of the package, correct?

The father of Daron Wint, the man suspected of killing a Northwest D.C. couple, their young son, and their housekeeper, had been so frightened by threats his son made to shoot his own family that he sought a protective order barring the man from contacting them for a year.

Maryland court records show that over the last decade Mr. Wint has been the subject of numerous peace and protective orders.

ok, butthat was a decade ago and stemmed mostly from him standing in the front yard or on the porch making threats. he has two convictions one for assualt (6 monthe sentence) and one for destroying property (none for sexual assualt - that is media confusing him with his brother)

he was in the marines and is a certified welder. peopel who knew him say they are shocked. His family was by the accounts of a neighbor normal and hardworking. He isn't a lowlife thug - he seems to have had options in his life. Good god that he chose this option. Leave the damn kid alive and unhurt.

OMG of course he was a lowlife thug. What you listed is my definition.

Not really, because the guy had a huge rap sheet and wasn't being put away from society.

The most mind-boggling fact for me is how stupid that guy had to be to order pizza in the midst of a hostage situation! I'm sure there was plenty of food in the fridge if he got hungry. WTF??

He probably does not know how to cook anything. Not without burning it anyway.
