For in state tuition and out of state tuition? I've heard that the SUNY schools are relatively priced low. |
The suny schools are a bargain. Tennessee is inexpensive. UMCP is very reasonable. |
North Carolina has some publics that are good and have cheap tuition. Here's a good resource that I've found for looking up this kind of information if you're not aware of it already : http://www.cappex.com/ |
Aren't the UC schoold free for residents?
South Carolina schools are cheap. |
Oklahoma. But then, you are in Oklahoma. |
University of Wisconsin Madison is a good deal for OOS. |
In state, Tennessee is cheaper than my home state (Missouri). I am moving down for grad school and its only $5,140 a semester. |
Georgia if you qualify under HOPE |
Don't forget FindScholarshipMoney.com as well. |
South Carolina has a beautiful campus, the #1 ranked honors program in the country (for a state school) and a lot of merit aid. No need based financial aid for OOS though.
|
You have to meet the very strict resident requirements for HOPE. Florida has an amazing scholorship program as well- Bright Futures. But again, you have to be a resident and they are very strict about the requirements for residency. |
University of Minesota-Twin Cities is pretty cheap for OOS (approx. $19,000/year for tuition). And if your child has the stats -- they will give you a tuition waiver for the OOS surcharge bringing it down to in-state tuition cost ($13,000+). |
How does it rank, life after graduation, etc? |
Minnesota Morris, a LAC, charges in state tuition for everyone.
Alabama has amazing merit aid. |
Alabama's is great! Ole Miss also has a great program. If you get above specific scores on the ACT, they pay your tuition. Not sure about residency requirements. My nephew got either a 29 or a 30 and his tuition is covered. |
