That's strange. My kids is the one who moved up four, but it's also for pre-k. Oh geez. More shenanigans. Let me go and call the school!

Did anyone actually get a call? We've moved off the list but haven't been contacted yet.

^^Were you the one who posted here "Live" from the Yu Ying application line last October?

No, sorry. I was in the line but not on DCUM.

The YY WL is generally pretty transparent. You need to download it into xl every time there is a shift. If a student moves up a number of spaces, I was usually able in past years to find that a newly admited student in another grade with the same initial last name. So could trace a sibling bumping to the top of the list.

If your child moved up 4 slots, and another child moved up 8 slots, one explanation might be the first 4 kids on the preK were admitted, and also that 4 preK kids were moved to top due to sibling preference.

Did you have a sib preference?

We were on the PK waitlist, and just checked and we are not on it anymore. I assume this means we got a spot, and should be expecting a call?

I'm hoping so. We are in the same position and haven't gotten a call. For the PP, all siblings for PK4 were admitted. We don't have sibling preference.

All this anxiety... I called my husband, and he said - "Geez, I hope we didn't somehow miss our chance." I told him that as of this morning, our name was still on the waitlist, and am pretty confidenty that, assuming we get in, they give you a day or so to accept.

I'm going to take my cell phone into the restroom at work. That should definitely make it ring.
