Except building do depreciate. They do decay and require money to be maintained. You are welcome to throw out a few real world examples to educate us.

But did he actually break any laws over the taxes? I thought people were expecting tax fraud? So far there isn't any that I can tell.

That's because you haven't seen the documents he used to value his properties to gain loans. Do you know who has? The NY AG. So getting Trump's taxes will conclusively prove one way or another whether there is bank fraud. The fact that Trump is fighting it so much seems to suggest we will fine something is amiss. Know why? An innocent person wouldn't be fighting this hard.

And of course Trump is denying it and calling it fake news yet, as usual, will not produce the evidence to prove anything wrong.

Trump is:

broke
destitute
insolvent
penniless
beggared
busted
impoverished
ruined
strapped
cleaned out
dirt poor
flat broke
in debt
indebted
indigent
needy
poor
stone broke
tapped out

What a shocker. Next you're going to tell me Bill Gates isn't a humanitarian, he's actually using his foundation and giving pledge "promise" to duck taxes and hoard over $100 billion dollars.

No, the story is that our President is beholden to whomever he owes over 400 million dollars.

I have clients who owe many, many millions of dollars, but those loans are secured by assets that are worth far more. Again, there may be nothing to see here.

Exactly. It amazes me how low the NYT has fallen.

Trump is welcome to release evidence to corroborate his "fake news" claim. Do you think he will?

+1. Obama released his birth certificate. Trump could release a few tax returns and put this issue to bed, right?

Yup. He really should. That would show those darned purveyors is fake news. Obama did it!

Yes please tell us when Trump organized the news conference to prove those lying New York Times reporters wrong.

And you can pay an employee hidden consultant fees in order to depreciate taxable income too. Especially when it's the second First Lady.

“Can you believe how f***ing stupid the IRS is?”...they are so stupid!"

Again, read the article. That’s not all he’s doing.

So he is either a loser or a cheater.

When you owe more than you are worth, you are broke. When you pay your daughter, who is an officer in your company, as a consultant, that is illegal. There is so much here is it nuts, and rubes sit here and poo poo it as if it is no biggie.

Fine screw it, I won't pay any more taxes. Why should I? Paying taxes is for suckers and losers.

It's in Trump's tax returns.... which he has to hide... but more to come.

Trump just said he won't be releasing his tax returns. So you'll just have to trust him when he said the NYT is wrong.

Suuure.

Do they owe many millons of dollars to Russians and are they currently the President of the United States?
