Go read the rules that the Republicans created for this before you start spouting what you "think" is supposed to be happening. Why are you opining about something you don't know anything about? |
So what TV shows? Was that a serious comment? |
? Every day, Trump humiliates and demeans this country and the Constitution, but ok... why don't you tell us which police investigation publicized witness testimony during the middle of an investigation. It's hilariously funny and sad at the same time how ignorant some of you are regarding our laws. Of course, what can we expect of people who support someone who constantly breaks our laws and flaunts, saying he is above the law and can do whatever he wants. BTW, I'm not a lawyer or a work in politics. I work in IT, and even I understand that police investigations don't ever publicize witness testimony during an active investigation. That's why they frown on leakers. I'm having a great day because every day more sh1t comes out about Trump which inches him closer to being impeached, and every day, he's probably blowing his gasket over the fact that "scum bag" never Trumper Rs are leaning towards impeachment. |
Would you like to read Bill Taylor's 15 page opening statement? |
An impeachment inquiry is equivalent to a grand jury indictment, not a police interview. Grand jury investigations are held in secret and the witnesses aren't allowed a lawyer in the room. The accused does not get an opportunity to cross-examine the witnesses. |
That's rich. It's "tradition" that presidents can appoint Supreme Court Justices, regardless of how much of their term is left; it's "tradition" that presidential candidates release their tax returns; it's "tradition" that presidents not employ their own family members...shall I keep going? |
Great question. You Democrats sure are smart. |
+1. I don't think you want to invoke "tradition" when it comes to Trump. |
Was this sarcasm.. I can't tell.. but yes, the rules that the Dems are currently following were instituted by Rs.. see post @10/24/2019 09:14 " they are following rules that were instituted in 2015 by a Republican held House and signed by John boehner " Every R should know who he is, right? |
It's quite an assumption that all 60M voters are ok with him breaking the law and wouldn't reconsider their votes based on that. |
I would like to hear the ensuing cross examination/discussion. I read the statement that had a phone shadow which ended up all over the media and the bowels of the internet. I'd like C-Span to cover the proceedings. If it is an opinion contrary to the current house rules, maybe the current Speaker should change the rules. |
You sure are smart! No sarcasm! I wish I was as smart as you! |
That will happen when the TRIAL is conducted in the Senate. Have you even read the f#cking Constitution? It's spelled out. Clearly. Even the most ardent "textualist" at the Federalist Society understands this. I suggest you - and even Donald Trump himself - go back to high school and take a remedial US History course. |
Wow! What a great suggestion! I wonder how come I didn't think of this before! You sure are smart! |
