Just don’t forget how bad you suck at life while you’re having these deep thoughts |
You are 100% wrong. Not a single one. Not a single one guested with the 05s. All were on the second team. Some practiced a few times with the DA team, but none made it. The roster is still online. As well as this years. |
Except for the whole cte, brain damage, concussion thing. |
Pathetic |
Not a one? Not a single one? Zero? Zilch? #calmthefrickdown |
I won’t name names but an FCV 05 DA player was on ODFC’s 05 roster: http://tournaments.usyouthsoccer.org/events/2017-Region-I-Championships/Game/63907/ODFCCesena05BlackVASWC/GalwayRoversFCGreen-PlunkettMASC/ |
I will explain. You’re both right and wrong in a way. When FCV took over ODFC 05 in the spring of 2018, a new FCV team was created. FCV took five of their top players from their existng 05 pre-DA team and putting them on the newly acquired team. Those five played (3 started and 2 came off the bench and played decent minutes) in the ERL league games and in the USYS State Cup (champs) and Eastern Regionals (semi finalists who lost to the eventual champ, Pipeline). So those names you’d see on that team’s roster. BTW. Much of that team was composed of girls born in 06. 5 of those girls now play 06 FCV DA. The 5 05 pre-DA loaners are back on FCV 05 DA. 1 of the original ODFC team plays for 05 Metro U DA. 2 play for Loudoun ECNL 05, 2 for McLean ECNL 05, and 2 for Loudoun ECNL 06. The other two play for other travel programs. The team was really good and is now totally disbanded. But almost all the girls landed on DA or ECNL teams, so it worked out. 3 of the girls that now play 05 ECNL were on the FCV DA as PT players last year. Two were offered slots in Apr. but turned them down. 1 was not offered at that time, but was also not told “no” so decided to leave vs. wait it out. Now you are all up to speed on the facts. |
| Now you have been told! Lol |
| The layer on that roster had already left ODFC and played the U 13 year at FCV. 5 FCV players guested for ODFC in the spring of 2018 during their run with USYS. Long post above is part of it. |
Ah, so OP was right on the one ODFC 05 player. Thanks for clarifying. |
Lol. Fcv families talk about “development” |
No. When the merge occurred, the player had already left. Not sure why it matters. One of the McLean players was previously FCV as well. I suppose if we count every club a player has played for, you’ll probably get a lot more, including ODFC. |
| Parents want to bash FCV development. Players that come to the club from other clubs, while usually high performers, get better. If not, FCV would not be so dominant at every age group. Teams would not get better. The claim of no development would assume each player has peaked when they go to FCV. That is simply absurd. |
Technically, OP was correct. So, the player moved a little before the team moved. Could have been the catalyst for it. It’s not as though the player played ODFC at u9 and then moved to FCV. Why are you so invested in proving that no ODFC players made FCV 05 DA? |
The point is and always has been that FCV acquires talent. They dont develop it. By the way, what's with the FCVxSTJ social media tag. It's not a merger. FCV no longer exists as a separate entity. Its STJFCV. |
