We all know that believers are short on science. But since the Fundies are reproducing like rabbits, you'd think they'd figure out it's not spittle and bile that forms us.

Well, there might have been a little spit in there. You can't forget the forplay!

A Pope once said animals have souls.

I know a lot of poorly behaved Christians who shrug and say, "we're all sinners". Like Jesus is some kind of a get-out-of-moral-jail-free card.

We all give back to our communities a lot and help people in need either through our careers or voluntarily. Does that mean we have souls and will be saved if we're wrong!!!

No. You have to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior in order to be saved and be granted access to the Kingdom of Heaven. You are a sinner, for we are all sinners. Repent.

Jeebus F'in Christmas, this is such arrogant piffle.

Believe it for yourself if you must (Religion is the opiate of the masses) but spare others the overbearing and narrowminded silliness of this stuff. You are, of course, free to believe it. You are not free to impose it on others (especially since they don't believe it and see the delusional aspects of it, however salutory they may be to you).

Karma's a bitch and it will bite presumptuous and arrogant types who think this on the a$$, in this life or the next, or the one after that, or the one after that, or maybe in all of them.

What a fantastic analogy!

It's not the afterlife we're concerned about.

It's the judgment and inability to even PROVE there's an afterlife.

So if we're damned, give us the tangible evidence showing that we'll be damned. I am very curious . . .

I'm not judging you. I also don't think you're damned.

^To add, I'm not the person you quoted. I absolutely believe everyone has a soul.

I can tell you're not the OP of the "Respectful Atheist, AMA" thread.

And how far did respect get that atheist?

NO side will ever see eye to eye for that matter.

So either develop a thick skin or stop reading.

I don't need to develop a think skin. I wasn't offended, but I can tell this wasn't the OP from the other well-received thread.
