Do you think the Pimmit Hills area will eventually become upscale?

What I've learned from this thread is that Pimmit Hills is ugly as hell, not within a reasonable walking distance of Metro, and seemingly full of very rude people. On the bright side, you can send your kids to Marshall or McLean High, which people on DCUM think are better than Falls Church High because they have fewer poor brown kids.

Forgive me if I'm not impressed. So glad we live elsewhere.

Sounds like you didn't pay attention. The only rude person was from 22042 and was making claims that all PH people are rude when in fact they appeared to respond quite intelligently and graciously.

The metro is a reasonable distance.

I just read that the development a block away from the silver line side is going to be larger than reston town center. This will definitely change things

In April 2013, the county approved Scotts Run South, a 6,700,000 ft (2,042,160 m) development containing 17 buildings, including six office and residential buildings, one hotel, and ground-floor retail near the pending McLean Station. This development alone will be larger than Reston Town Center.

But the local economy is slowing, so how much of this will get built in the next 20 years? Plans cost a little bit of money, empty office and condo towers cost a lot of money.

The slow down is debatable , we'll know for sure this year's end. That area is already heavily under development.
