I live in Arlington and don't consider Clarendon to have an urban feel. VERY SUBurban, maybe. Like the Dulles Town Center or something. |

Who are all of these posters keeping this thread alive?! Why do you keep posting such nonsense?!
So embarrassing as an Arlington resident. |
An upscale burger joint, BGR; an upscale Italian Store and deli, the Italian Store; a decent coffee shop, Starbucks; an expensive bike shop; a CVS with the cash registers (not self check out) = upscale strip mall. |
| As much as I love the LV shopping center I would never ever call it "high end." |
I basically see Lyon Village as Pimmit Hills East. Not very attractive but over-hyped as hell. |
I live in LV and think its eyesore. That CVS was always the slowest in the fucking world too. I switched my prescriptions to the Walgreens by Whole Foods. The Giant is seriously third world in the produce dept. and 1/2 the shit is past expiration date. Did somebody seriously call it high-end? Ha! I love the Italian Store--but the rest could go... I've seen much nicer strip malls in Woodbridge. |
Not to mention the pawn shop and hookah bar directly across the street. Not high-end at all. |
To be fair, the Starbucks is great if you want to see grubby middle-aged white people who rarely bother to shave or put on any make-up on the weekends in their native habitat. |
Nah--go to Circa on a Friday or Saturday night around 11pm--rooftop of Eventide or Fat Shorty's for a Belgian beer and sausage at midnight. The people no longer are in shit clothes and brown flip flops. You'll forget your in Arlington. There are actually hot women in nice clothes. I've been here off and on for 15 years and it is very different right now. In fact--it's turned into frickin Adams Morgans with the crowds, noise and drunks. |
That's a different strip mall. |
Classic, large turn of the century homes versus tiny 1940s GI boxes that now look run down. No comparison, but nice try. |
Fellow Arlington resident here. I will admit I posted once or twice in this thread but I agree, it is become embarrassing. I'll stop feeding the trolls. |
I'm pretty sure my street sign here in 22203 has an "N" on it. |
Same here. We live around the corner and stop by for Italian Store or bike tuning/supplies sometimes. But the CVS Rx dept sucks as does the Giant. The parking lot is tight too. On second thought, love might be too strong of a word. |
And 22205.
