She runs through the house like an insane creature whenever she is out of her crate--She's out of her crate 6-8 hours a day. She gets an hour of flat out running and tussling with other dogs at the dog park every day. She never gives any warning that she needs to pee--she just pees. She is impossibly cute with a scruffy muzzle. I hate her but yeah, I am her slave.

You keep her crated 16-18 hours a day? No wonder she has issues. Poor baby.

This. I'd like to see how well you do crated that long.

Also, you didn't do your research. These are EXTREMELY high energy dogs. Shame on you for a) not knowing what you were getting and b) for not giving this dog the things it needs. CRATED 16-18 hours a day is cruel (and I'm not opposed to using the crate).

WTF? Bassets are literally the goofiest dogs on the planet. I've never met a mean or aggressive one. They're sort of big dopes that lumber around barking at the grass growing. Weird.

Beagles are VERY smart. They know what they are doing. And they are independent and driven by where their noses take them.

They are also incredibly sweet and will do anything for a treat. Great with kids, and the love all people actually. Their sweet nature is one of the reasons that they are a breed of choice for animal testing. Sad as that is (check out the Beagle Freedom Project).

+1. Our beagle is extremely smart and quite calculated. Loves everyone and everything, but is always scheming for food or attention.

My beagle does love food but isn’t a schemer. I guess he begs but by that I mean he just sits and stares. It’s much less annoying than other dogs who circle and whine.

PP- so sad about them being lab dogs. I donate to the Rescue + Freedom Project which is what BFP turned into.

Yes, Beagles are incredibly smart, which is why a lot of people have problems with them. FWIW I have never had one and never want one, especially because of how smart they are.

I’m not sure if I posted here, but Bearded Collie.

Seriously, never again,

What are people's experiences with American Bull Dogs?

The best dog hands down is a King Charles cavalier. Nicest dogs ever.

Worst: Shiba Inu. They’re just so unfriendly and behave like cats.

No, best dog ever is Havanese. The love and snuggles they give are priceless

I absolutely despise minipins. Mean, vicious little beasts that incessantly bark at everything and nothing. They're like shrunken down Dobermans on crack, only FAR less intelligent. Ugh!

No bad dogs, just bad owners.

Putting dogs in craters are so cruel.

Did you have a female or male? We had both...the female was a pain in the you know what, always had issues. The male no problems. Also the males seem to be more laid back.

My neighbor’s Bichon is an example of this too. They basically just had to give up and keep puppy pads in their house.
