Hopefully the protesters in Minnesota with share intel on ICE tactics and effective responses.’
I have no doubt the community organizers in Minnesota will help the organizations in the cities where ICE goes next. The Chicago groups have been in close contact with the groups in Minnesota. The level of organizing being done underground (ie not publicly on social media) is incredible. I have a friend who is very involved and the stuff she tells me blows my mind. Americans aren't just sitting back and letting this happen.
Their successes seem to be hidden from the public too because I don’t see things slowing down.
I'm sure it made you feel better to be snarky, but just because ICE activity hasn't slowed down doesn't mean community organizers aren't doing anything. There are patrol groups set up to monitor bus stops and help walk kids to and from. There are groups working with local grocers to have mobile food banks for people who are afraid to leave their homes. Other groups are assisting with making sure people get their prescriptions. Groups are making thousands of whistle kits to send to areas with heavy ICE presence. Simply put - neighbors are helping neighbors.
