What a lazy MF Trump is.
“Marc Caputo of Axios reported today that Trump’s decision to pardon or commute the sentences of all the January 6 rioters convicted of crimes for that day’s events, including those who attacked police officers, was a spur of the moment decision by Trump apparently designed to get the issue behind him quickly. “Trump just said: ‘F*ck it: Release ‘em all,’” an advisor recalled.” https://open.substack.com/pub/heathercoxrichardson/p/january-22-2025?r=2st3j&utm_medium=ios |
So far, among our new “2nd Chance” community members, we have:
Someone who was found guilty of child pornography Someone who is threatening to kill his own son for testifying Someone who has already been re-arrested on gun charges I feel so much safer already… |
Trump commuted the sentences for the sedition convictions. Not pardons. |
5 officers murdered. 140 injured. All pardoned. |
I hope in a year or so the media follows up and tracks to see how many of the great American "patriots" have ended up being re-arrested. I bet the number is significant. |
Disgusting but what do you expect from republicans? They are a criminal party bent of destroying this country. |
I'm surprised that Trump hasn't released Derek Chauvin.
Trump probably thinks that he's a great American. |
And so it begins: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/jan/23/january-6-pardon-man-arrested
I feel like there will be more. They exhibited anti-social behavior and complete disregard for law and order. There will be more and I’m sure a few will go out like the Pizzagate Shooter. |
True |
They died because of actions taken by criminals released by Trump. It doesn’t matter if they died that day. And regardless of arguing about that - we don’t need deaths to require consequences! These released criminals committed acts of violence against police and attacked our country. Trump released cop beaters as the WSJ put it. |
The traitors involved in J6 should not have been pardoned. |
Many of these men are domestic abusers, including the head of the Oath Keepers. |
I'm pretty sure it was only a dozen or two instigators taking part in the initial security breach that truly had traitor intentions but no way in hell should an American President grant any form of pardon to people that forcefully breached security at United States Capitol Building. Insanity Those that were clearly identified as taking part in the forceful breach should be be treated fairly from a due process standpoint but a pardon should never be on the table. Insanity. Can I say this obvious truth one more time? If some of the security breaching fools have been arrested, detained and/or tried in an unfair or overly harsh manner relative to their specific actions that day, the arresting and prosecuting entities involved should be reprimanded but the trespassing culprits must be held liable for such actions against our nation's sovereignty. Not rocket science. |
Does anyone know if there is an avenue to hold Trump accountable for releasing these thugs? The fact they he admitted that he didn’t even consider these on a case by case basis and just said, “F it, release them all” just does not seem legal. Although, nobody could have foreseen something even remotely this insane… |
Really? With Trump? You couldn’t have foreseen this? I did. I must be a prophet, kneel at my feet. |
