Will the Towson commit like that? I"m not so sure that 27 is that much of an improvement.

I have no bone in this fight but a smart player would be fine with it. On the offensive side of the ball most teams are going to more positionless type players that can attack from just about anywhere on the field with the idea that your middies can play at X and the like.

Coaches do find talent at prospect camps but timing for a 2026 to get noticed at a prospect camp NOW at top D1 would be a little late. The player can email the coach, send their highlight video and request a call to discuss if there's any opportunity or roster spot. They can ask the coach if it is worth them attending the prospect camp and they can also have their club coach call to gauge the level of interest before they pay a bunch of money to go to a prospect camp as a 2026. For a 2027 absolutely should be going to prospect camps of their target schools during the fall and winter to help them get on the radar.

This is true, but the key word is top. There are roughly 900 D1 roster spots per class (75 schools x 12) and according to Inside Lacrosse, only around 350 players have committed. The rosters are close to full at the top schools (Big 10, ACC, Ivy League), but a large number of D1 schools are just getting started.

Will this be the list for the DMV 26's? I would agree not many quality programs left and a few players left. Looks like NL and SJC have run away with the quality player commitments again. The club seems to be doing something correctly along with Speaks from SJC and Smith from GC. Looks like GZ and Bullis have nothing and GP seems to be quite as well.

How many are left to go this fall?


Heard from a few coaches that are taking smaller classes this year. Most won't be taking 12. The service.academies.are different.

I guess the *Public designation makes sense. Locally 26 verbals to top D1 and 1 is a public school recruit. I guess that tells parents of middle school and younger what it takes to get to a D1 program

There are always going to be a hella more privates around here because they're laser focused on doing just that. See: the argument going on whether SJC allows guys to play another sport.
Public school guys by and large it's not their sole focus. So if you as a player (or in many cases... parent) want that above all else, jump private.

"Well more than 2," in September, really? The 2 attacks have serious deficiencies in quickness and size. There won't be a middie and maybe the 2 poles get a good look but the rest will be available well past September and will be roster fillers.

The NL and DCE commits are almost indistinguishable.

More than 2 or "well" more than 2? Well more suggests 4+. I can't see 4 d1 commits in September from the SJC 2027's. Possibly the fogo is#3 if he goes near 50% against the good varsity teams this year, not the bottom half.

After this coming Spring, expect the Cadets to roll through the DMV for the years to come.

I think the Spring of 2025, Landon, Bullis and SJC will be in tier I.

Tier II will be GP, PVI and I guess Gonzaga.

Tier III will be Good Counsel, Saint Albans, Episcopal, DeMatha.
