Agree with the people who say you should talk to an attorney. If you want to put the screws to him, my understanding is if you contact the best attorneys in the area and have an initial meeting then he can't use them.

The initial consult with the best attorneys of the area is over $500 an hour. Not sure it's worth it just so he can't use them. Unless it's a high asset divorce...

First consult is usually free, so...

No it isn't.

More than 90 percent of sexually active men and 80 percent of sexually active women will be infected with HPV in their lifetime.

I can't link, but you can access them on the home page. The summaries are thoughtful, well written and witty.

He didn't summarize this thread though.

Jeff, great summary and LOL at many posters with knowledge of STDs that would embarrass a teenager

First consult is definitely NOT free. Should be $250-550 usually, more if you go for the most expensive lawyers.

+1

Can confirm this is true. I've had 2 consults in recent months and each lawyer charged approx. $475. The cheapest I found when calling around was about $250 and that would be with a very inexperienced person.

Op I’m on page 4 and everyone is telling you how to break it to him. Don’t. Just divorce him if you decide to go that way or stop sleeping with him but never tell him. Let it come up as an issue with the women he falls madly in love with next.

Is it possible to spread through public toilets or pools?

Oh dear. I’ve had that when celibate. Had it once when a virgin. It’s not just sexually transmitted.

Where did you get it, any ideas?

lol, when I was a teenager, my friend got pubic crabs from her boyfriend. He told her he got them at the beach. lol, she believed him until us girls educated her.

You can get crabs from a couch.

The beach? Crabs from the beach. Poor thing.

Yes and the couch gal, too. Crabs from sitting on a couch? Really. Denial is a hell of a drug.

You can. They crawl around like fleas. My freshman year roommate had crabs she was sleeping around, and all three of us roommates got them. They are hideous looking crablike lice. They live on you but don’t imbed into skin like ticks so they basically crawl around and bite you every 4 hours. They are large enough to see if you look carefully. They were on the toilet, on her bed, and yes the couch. Me and the other girl were 17 years old and both virgins.

Trich is an STD.
Sounds like OP has been with her husband long enough that if it predated the relationship she’d have had serious health consequences of trich (infertility, preterm labor)
So it’s probably unfortunately her husband having an affair

For more information on trich - see this: https://www.health.ny.gov/publications/3839/

more information showing you can get it from a towel.

https://www.healthline.com/health/how-can-you-get-trichomoniasis-if-no-one-cheats

trichomoniasis can be treated NON SEXUALLY

Holy mother I hope in 2024 we have better ways to treat STDs than sexually 😜 I guess if your doctor is Marvin Gaye

I have a friend who THINKS her husband never slept with anyone else but I knew him in high school and he was a whore.

Anonymous wrote:My friend actually got trich without sexual contact she worked in a low income neighborhood and shook a client's hand after he used the bathroom. She and her husband had been together since childhood...she said thank God we have the trusting relationship we do and there was no question in his mind that I had gotten this from another sexual partner

If there is a bright side to COVID happening it’s the lowered expectations for shaking people’s hands. Now I wave, bow or nod.

OP here- yes we are, albeit not very often. Once every 10 days or so. It's not something I look forward to but feel like I need to to keep the peace.
