No. I want to know why an unresponsive plane was allowed to fly from Tennessee to Long Island, over very populated cities. I want to know why it didn't not make a scheduled landing and the Air Force didn't scramble jets until 30 minutes later when it was flying over DC. That could've been a bigger tragedy than it was, had it crashed in New York City or in downtown DC. It was flying over Philly, Baltimore...it was a huge risk to people on the ground. How was it flying for several hours without any ATC contact?

The pilot community CA t be bothered explaining all that to you. I could, but it's not worth it.

They scrambled jets from other locations earlier, I think the one who did the boom just did it because it was authorized and those guys are cowboys.

JFC. Let it go. It wasn't unresponsive that whole time. And they began to notice and escalate when it didn't do what was expected. The premise of your question is unfounded based on the reporting that's out now. And I get why others are frustrated with the implication of what you might expect folks to do... but short of shooting it down, they both noticed at an appropriate time and did all the things!

Why do you keep reviving a thread days after the last post to roast someone with a very logical question? And it's comical to accuse her of not reading the reporting that is out right now - the reporting that's out right now says that the plane lost contact fifteen minutes after takeoff.
