Yep. ENROLLMENT decisions. We all know what was meant. |

Stanford, MIT & Yale are much lower than previous years. Also interesting is that no one is going to Northwestern this year. |
Only 1 to Stanford? Must be the lowest they're sending to S in decades. Particularly impressed with the kids going to Harvard, Princeton, and Duke this year. Carnegie Mellon is also getting some great CS kids. |
The worst overall college acceptance in TJ’s history. But won’t be the worst. Decades from now TJ will be just a beautiful memory. If anyone is still nostalgic by then. The way that FCPS is treating its schools, not just TJ. |
I haven't followed the trends for years but this looks pretty darn strong to me. Check out your local high school |
What is your point? |
About 80 kids didn't report their college destinations on this link. Yeah, the outcomes are worse than an average year and much worse than last year. |
The point is that FCPS is doing its best to destroy academic excellence at TJ and other schools in the name of equity. |
The worst in history. But believe me, it will get even worse in the future. |
That allegation has been proven wrong and the same could be said for all the Top Colleges because they have similar policies. Academic excellence is not owned by TJ, it can be achieved anywhere and many different ways. The real issue is in your head. |
Destroying not just TJ. Other schools too. McLean and Langley’s matriculations are below expectations too. Can’t put all the blame on FCPS though. Some college AOs favor poorer school districts. They punish students from “wealthy” zip codes. |
More FCPS students were deferring TJ due to the increase in students who spent their entire youth gaming TJ admissions.
Those talented students who deferred TH stayed at their base schools or went to private. A student we know is attending an Ivy this fall. He was accepted at TJ but went private instead. TJ had become so monolithic and competitive it was driving students away. A more balanced population that represents all the students in the area will hopeful bring more talented students back. |

Isn't private school the ultimate in "gaming" the system? |
