| I totally agree with snacking poster. We do not need snacks. People snack because they’re bored or conditioned to, not because they’re hungry. Our grandparents’ generation didn’t snack- they ate three meals a day. Their meals were home cooked, real food, not processed with chemicals or coated with Round-Up. They didn’t worry about fat and enjoyed red meat and eggs. They weren’t fat. At least in my case, they lived longer and didn’t get dementia as early as my parents’ peers. |
They literally are a convection oven, turned up higher than most people cook stuff with a convection oven. |

| Food in the U.S. is far inferior to food virtually every where else (except Canada, they are about the same) |
| Food today is way better than what my grandparents ate -- give me sushi over jello salads any day of the year! |
Yes (other than the temperature part since most go from low dehydration temps only up to 400) but designed in such a way that food is entirely surrounded by a much more concentrated stream of air. I have always liked the convection feature on my oven, but it is not capable of producing results close to that of my Cosori air-fryer. |
I buy Fairlife because its lactose free - - if there is anything else different about it I had no clue! Its just the most obviously and clearly labeled Lactose Free milk at the store |
| Soy is evil |
I used to believe this too, and stayed away from it for many years; now I'm not so sure. The research that I have been reading is leading me to believe otherwise. I'm still researching, but have allowed myself a bit of edamame occasionally. |
Yeah…mid century food got a little (a lot) weird. Convenience foods were seen as sophisticated modern technology. Microwave dinners, just add water packets, cream of something casseroles, jello salads, boxed mixes..thankfully most of these are not cool anymore |
I love Ethiopian, especially the bean sides. I hate milk, sugary cakes, sandwich bread, and nasty places like a Taco Bell or IHOP. |
| I’m pretty convinced farmers markets are scams and they all lie about the origins of whatever they’re selling. |
| 95% of salads are inedible trash |
From restaurants, yes. They are always a poorly done afterthought |
Can you explain this? What in the salad is trash? |
