Yes, and Ruby is typically the opening night cast |
| Oh wow, that's a lot. Now I know what you guys meant about kids being double or triple cast. |
| Woo Hoo, it's cast assignment day! |
| Do the different casts denote skill level or is it random? |
The official stance is that they're random, but they're not. However, it ultimately doesn't matter, the kids have fun no matter what and it shouldn't be made a big deal to them. |
Yes I think the best is ruby and the worst are emerald pearl. They say there is no difference but Julie’s daughter danced Ruby every single time and that is always the opening night cast. |
| That kind of makes sense. I'd think you'd want to have a mix of stronger/weaker dancers in each role in each cast, but I can also see wanting to have a strong opening night. |
Why do you say Emerald and Pearl are the worst? |
Kind of ridiculous though, no? This is a professional ballet company. Every single show should be the best they can possibly produce and the only way to do that it to have a mix of the top dancers in every cast. |
| Has anyone gotten their cast yet? |
Not yet, it says by Nov 8th, so I assume this evening? |
Oh none of them are the worst, they will all be great, the kids all have a blast dancing with a professional company! |
| Casts are up! |
I know it doesn't really "mean" anything, but DD is so happy to be in Ruby! |
| Mine is in Pearl! The "worst" cast 😜 <-- just messing with you all. |
