All performances are at Warner this year!

Funny that they have performances at Warner and then more dress rehearsals there after the performances

I only see one dress rehearsal on Black Friday? The others I think are on stage blocking, tech and rehearsals between performances. Or maybe different dress rehearsals for different casts ? I guess more details will be filled in when the casts are announced?

My Screen shows 23rd, 24th and 26th all as Warner rehearsals
The performances on the 27th and 28th
Then Warner rehearsals again on the 30th and the 1st

We know a couple of girls that are double casted this year in that one child will play party boy plus another role. Is the party boy role a smaller role and that’s why they cast those roles in that way? Just curious as the school said not all children will get roles this year but some have two roles.

Probably because they can be relied upon to do a good job. It is a professional production.

Could also be a function of fitting into the costumes. Sometimes there is a height/ skill mismatch.

I think it's also to limit the number of dancers backstage per performance. The ones I know that are double cast are Party Boy + A 2nd Act Role.

I think that is correct re limiting the # of dancers. My daughter was cast as a clown/party boy and all those that I know that were double cast are clowns - so they will be in the opening scene and then the second act.

Does anyone know if they gave us access to the music for the kids to practice at home?

I'd think you could just go on Youtube or something and get the music that way, right? As long as your kid could kind of recognize what part was theirs.

We've listened, but it seems like the tempo is slightly different, so I didn't know if the school usually gave the actual music.

Sounds like some of the kids were "unofficially" told what cast they were in. DD is a Bunny and was told what jewel she was going to be. Anyone know what performance dates each cast is? I know they sais early Nov, but I'm itchy to buy tickets

My DD wasn't told anything or she's keeping it to herself. I'm just glad they're cutting the run the day after Christmas! We can actually go on a quick travel this holiday for New Years.

DD said they have candy names now - but apparently the kids know what candy group translates to what cast

Why oh why are the Nutcracker Tea tickets so expensive?? I just don't have that much extra cash during the holiday season!
I guess they have a limited number of seats? It feels like they would get a better response if it was remotely affordable to the average family.
**end vent**

The sponsorships look the same as previous years.. I know in the past you could just buy a ticket for the show/tea party itself and I didnt see that option this year, which is unfortunate. Are you looking at in person or at home option?
