Klara and the Sun. Quietly scary and somehow, hopeful.

This one was up there for me, but if I have to pick one - I’ll say City of Girls.

If you liked City of Girls ,I recommend the Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo !

I did really like that one, too!

And the other two books (you'll see certain characters appear in all the books) - Malibu Rising but the best one is Daisy Jones and the Six.

I did also like Daisy Jones! I haven’t read Malibu Rising yet, but I want to.

Loved this too, and the audio version is amazing!

I really want to like Patrick Radden Keefe, but he reminds me of the old saying about good authors killing their darlings. He's a great researcher but his work contains so many loose research threads.

you might like his Winds of Change podcast. Such an interesting subject, but so many loose threads.

I think this is my pick as well, though I haven’t read as much this year as I usually do. I love pretty much anything by Ishiguro.

Also finally got around to reading Commonwealth, which I liked a lot.

Klara and the Sun was easily the best book that I have read in a couple of years. Everybody that I know who read it, loved it!

I loved Susanna Clark's Piranesi
