One day in LA (with a grumpy preteen)

| We just spent 4 nights in Santa Monica. The highlight was tickets to America's Got Talent, the first live show in almost 2 years. That day was spent in Hollywood including food before and dough cones after the show. Other highlights for my teens were renting ebikes and riding to Venice Beach to get some TurnDough IceCream/seeing the sights of Venice such as skateboarders, street artists, and bad tshirt shops. We did go to the pier a couple times (walking), once to swim at the beach and once to feasibly ride the rides but they were crazytown crowded so we just people watched and bought churros. We did spend a day driving up to The Getty Villa and to a little somewhat hidden beach in Malibu. That was fine for the teens, not the greatest day of their life but good enough that they didn't complain. |

| Just chiming to say I hear you on grumpy preteen. Mines a young teen now but still grumpy on trips. Seems to go better if I “hang” with her and her pick snacks and goofy cheap stuff to buy |
