Not if he can’t have his phone with him.

He did mention he can’t take his phone in. That seems fairly standard from
People I’ve dated and friend’s husbands. Still think he ghosted 👻

Non plans to get together again., His last text was late last week when he said he was really busy with the Afghanistan situation. She told him to let him know when he’s free and she’s not heard anything. I think he ghosted her but she has this hope that he’s just working around the clock. Anyone know anything about this kind of work? I mean, he could still send a hello text... lol

I find it odd that no one has asked, and you may not know, if they had sex, date 1, 2, or both. If they did and he was underwhelmed or he believed he didn't meet her level then he might be gone for that reason.

All dynamics are important, some more than others, but in a couple dates you can get an instinct as to whether you want to continue.

Didn’t have sex. Hug on date 1, kiss date 2.

That leaves the didn't 'put out' fast enough so he moved on as a possibility.

I have been on plenty of dates, and it's not always the woman who is holding back on the sex progression...

Do you know what, exactly, he does at Bolling? If he is with DIA he could be quite busy. Some intel orgs with a role in the situation have moved certain operations to a 24/7 capacity. There is way more that goes into evacuating people than the simple logistics. They refugees also need to be vetted, for example.

How is this your business? What do you gain from this? Do you plan to show this thread to your friend and say " see I'm right! DCUM agrees with me!" ?

Her life. Her business if she wants to keep hope up or not. No concern of yours unless you're trying to date her.

Right now anyone who has worked there is trying everything imaginable to get people out. Desperate people are texting from on the ground. Then there is the whole piece of people who are actually doing the logistical work to bring back tens of thousands so far. And there are so many in need. All to say, if you like him give him the space to do the right thing at work and a chance to be a decent date later.

A defense contractor could also be ex-military or IC. Lots of people in the USG are being surged for the Afghanistan effort and people are working around the clock.

And while this may be veering off-topic there are a lot of people who served in Afghanistan dealing with a lot of heavy $h!t right now as they are desperately trying to help people they worked with and in many cases, not being successful.

No, I don't know.

Because she is my best friend and we give each other dating advice. She's asked me what I think. I already shared info that was offered here with her.

Why are *you* so bent out of shape that I am trying to help her?

Tell her to send him a nude. It seems like a pretty much win-win play.

No matter where or how long he works he has access to his phone at least once a day and can text. I hope your friend will not excuse him and take him back no matter what. Such behaviour is a red flag.

Just heard from a friend who’s an analyst at Pentagon. He can only say last two days were terrible with no end in sight.,

It's not impossible, but a defense contractor at Bolling sounds fishy as someone on the tip of the spear on this. Further, any guy really interested would drop a line to check in. I'd move on.

No, “defense contractor at Bolling” most likely means he works at DIA. And he indeed might be busy.

But chances are he is just not into her. Move on, girl.

+1 DIA work. This was a way for him to kindly drop her. Move on.
