Are Tiffany style lamps out-dated?

My, fancy that.

You would have hated my grandmother's house. A beautiful modern sprawling mid-century ranch she and my grandfather built in the 1950s with floor to ceiling windows, cathedral ceilings, modernist clean lines, all light and airy, and filled with expensive antiques mixed up with modern pieces.

Real Tiffany lamps are gorgeous and wonderful craftsmanship. Certainly not for everyone but to pretend that they have no place in today's world is just silliness.

It was designed by a notable contemporary architect for the time and featured in magazines as an exemplary example of contemporary architecture.

The point is that there's no rule dictating what is modern or what can't be in a modern house. My grandmother's rule was quality goes with quality, which is why her house was stunning despite mixing old and new.
