Arlington 06 Boys

Anonymous
Listening to SYC and Arlington parents go back and forth with their keen game analysis does me no good. Are there any video links to 06 games, Arlington or SYC, so I can make my own judgements? Maybe the USYS national games were recorded?

TROLL ALERT!!!!!!

Arlington smashed SYC 06 boys on the way to winning state, regionals, and now nationals. Look it up.'

Arlington got lucky. SYC dominated the game and ball possession for the first half

What drugs are you on? SYC lost 1-6 to Arlington in state cup. Then, they lost 1-6 to Arlington again in the ASIST tournament. Both this season. I'd say that is a consistent smashing of SYC by Arlington. Sorry to disrupt your fantasies with facts and reality. Have a good evening.

Four of those goals were offsides. SYC dominated the ball and don’t play kickball like nasty Arlington

SYC does not dominate the ball. They just kick it upfield and hope that one of their physical forwards can score. They deservedly and repeatedly got smashed by Arlington.

How many felonies would they commit while doing so?

Agree. The style of play is completely different. I enjoy watching Arlington kids play.

SYC kids could do better if they had top notch type of training and less scrimmaging. Please don't blame the kids.

Honestly, have you ever seen a lazier coach?

Anyone who has seen this team play knows that they build from the back and play a style more akin to Spanish futbol than American soccer.

Arlington got lucky against SYC and will get smashed next time they play! Arlington is to direct while SYC will knock it around on you

Who will be coaching the SYC 06' team next season? I hope not Este. He's terrible. He destroyed the 07s MLS Next, an once great team.

He did the same to the 06s. Damn shame!

I have not. Wonder if he would be better if he would lay off DCUM and social medial and actually focused attention on the kids and coached them?

Thank you for sharing State Cup game links; just watched first half. Very easy to see SYC doesn’t have professional training. No ideas on how to attack; they had great effort and didn’t lose to the ball too easily. But so predictable.

And SYC just got MLS next for all the boys age groups. Kind of makes you wonder about the legitimacy of MLS next, especially since they also gave it to Achilles.

Nice! This is the only national event I've seen with a commentator and replays. Evenly matched game decided in penalty kicks. Arlington has some nicely skilled players, particularly the kid who scored the tying goal right near the end, when he dribbled past 3 defenders. Arlington was trying to play from the back but not with much success when the other team was pressuring. The only goal they scored was on a corner kick so it's not like they progressed up the field with adept passes. The goal Arlington did let up was because of a bad mistake by the goalkeeper. Overall, typical American soccer game.

Some coaches play to win. Some play to always attack. Some play beautifully.

And then you have EM’s teams

2005 age group aside, based on what I saw, the boys' competitions are similar in standard.

The 2005 age group was a little different because the ECNL competition featured many of the MLS clubs who played their 2005 rosters in ECNL (that age group did not officially exist within MLS Next) and was therefore of a significantly higher standard.

As to which one Arlington opted to choose - if you have the choice between a week in Bradenton or a week in St. Louis, which one are you choosing?
