Is everyone on this thread aware of the vaccination rate in Montgomery County? It is STARTLINGLY high. It’s fantastic. 70% of the entire population is fully vaccinated, including all the kids who can’t get vaccinated. 76.8% have at least one dose. 83% of everyone age 12 and up. https://covidactnow.org/us/maryland-md/county/montgomery_county/?s=20951016 https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/us/covid-19-vaccine-doses.html |
Who are you yelling at? Something like 90% of eligible people in MoCo have done this already. |
It does highlight the hysteria doesn't it? But mostly the hypocrisy. |
Its not this simple because kids cannot get vaccinated. Its also behavior. With all the travel, camps, socializing, eating out, it will spread. Vaccinated folks are having breakthrough cases. |
That is great BUT, we are putting K-7th in schools with large numbers of kids who are all unvaccinated. |
Fortunately, the risks to children from SARS-CoV-2 are very low, and everyone else is eligible for vaccination. |
UK seems to be slowing with respect to cases, and although the effects of the opening aren't in yet, it's looking OK, especially with respect to actual cases of serious disease.
People need to just take it easy. There are large numbers of vaccinated people around here and just like any infectious disease there will be peaks and valleys. |
If every adult in MoCo who can would get vaccinated, that would be great. I mean, why not 95%? |
No, its not that low with the delta variant but keep telling yourself that. |
Please provide data about the risks to children from the delta variant. https://www.chla.org/blog/covid-19/the-delta-variant-and-children-what-parents-need-know |
Restrictions have not worked. Masks do not work. Viruses gonna virus. Live with it. |
Masks work. Stop spreading misinformation. |
Similar to what’s been going on all summer at summer camps. Lots of “colds” going around. |
For cloth masks, not so much with the delta unfortunately but still better than nothing. Should be upgrading though. |
Of course it is extremely low. The delta variant is more transmissible but not more dangerous. It has the same morbidity rate in children as the flu does and we don't run screaming in terror over the flu. Be sensible, but don't be hysterical. |
