Pretty French first name for a girl.

We have French friends from Paris who practice law here. Their second child is a girl and they named her Aurelie. I love the name.

Camille, Juliette and Amelie are already taken by close by aunts and cousins. Simone is out because of our last name too.

Any suggestions appreciated. TIA

Literally half of my German friends are named Sabine. It was extraordinarly popular there in the late 60s.

So you pretend like we can’t guess your last name because you just mention that it is two syllables, then you rule out Simone, and we’re not supposed to know that your last name is Beauvoir?

I love French names. With your true connection to French lineage, I would go for a name that is used in France, rather than a more Americanized French name like Charlotte and even Madeleine.
