OP here and yes, DH is French, raised and educated in Paris and I’m of French decent on my father’s side. We speak French (I spent a year in college in France and worked there for two years) and will be visiting DH’s parents in France every year. She may end up going to a French school too. That enough for you? |
I know 2 Nicolettes and neither are French! One speaks it, though. |

Nonsense. I think names that blend with the last name just sound better. Camille Beauvoir or Simone Gautier sound beautiful with American accents. Chantal Cohen or Aimee McGonigle would give me pause. |
