SOL test is becoming harder and harder now ?

My DD's SOL scores were much lower last year than the two previous years. Always high 500's for both in 3rd and 4th grade. High 400's for all three in 5th grade.

The tests have gotten harder since they started giving them. A lot of it is about needing solid test-taking skills, so that the kid carefully reads that they need to pick more than one correct answer, for example.

Test are not harder, quality of education in FCPS is getting weaker. Not blaming the front line teacher. Starts with an ineffective school board and trickles down through a vapid administration ever willing to implement the current ineffective education fad of the day.
