How my kids act (mopey, run down etc) tells me way more than the congestion. We also have grass allergies in our house and that's raging right now.

Stuffed up and unusually fussy, I'd definitely keep home. What I struggle with is that gray area where they are acting totally normal and aren't clearly congested but do seem a little bit stuffed up. It was a nightmare this spring when she'd wake up and sneeze a couple times. During non-Covid, I'd take her temperature to make sure there was no fever, give her some allergy meds, and unless it got worse between wake up and time to leave for school, I'd send her. But Covid makes that equation feel very stressful because I definitely do not want to send a sick kid to school. And I also don't want to keep a kid home for absolutely no reason.

I wish there was a clear rule that we could all agree on. Like "no fever, no personality change, no runny nose" and you send them or something. I don't know. I hate making those judgment calls.
