Jogging skirts

Anonymous
I find it amusing that the skirts are being touted as providing "more coverage" than running shorts. I guess you're shopping for the wrong kind of shorts, then! I have several pairs of running shorts with sufficiently long inseams to cover anything that needs to be covered. Not bum or thigh hugging in the least. Can't say I've had problems with bunching, either.

The running skirt seems like a ridiculous fashion statement. But then, I think matching running shorts and tops are silly too. It's exercise, not a fashion show.

I'm a guy and I think running skirts are pretty cute, but really, who cares what they look like? Running gear is all about comfort and performance--if it's comfortable and does the job its supposed to then style really doesn't matter. There's nothing more uncomfortable than a pair of shorts that rides up your crotch and chafes you. I can see the appeal of wearing a skirt rather than shorts that can ride up.

I have a related confession to make--sometimes the colors of my t-shirt, shorts, and shoes don't coordinate! And some of my white running shirts have pit-stains! People must think I'm a total fashion reject and slob.

If you have a good body, no one will be looking at your clothes!

"If you have a good body, no one will be looking at your clothes!"

I agree. But then they look at your face and are asking "WHY?! Make it stop!" So, it really doesn't pay to draw attention in certain ways unless you are of a certain age AND fit. Otherwise, you just look silly, like you are trying too hard. Just an observation. Carry on.

I would have a problem with the pit stains.

To each his own. I find the type of shorts you describe hideously ugly. The skirts I get have a long spandex short inside the skirt. It is mesh, also. No chafing, no bunching, air circulates and it is super comfortable. Don't have to use body glide when I use my skirts. And, looks much better than the shorts you describe.

Not sure why you have to look like a beast when you run. That is your choice if you want to be that way. I feel better when I look nice, or at least tolerable, when I run.

Love that wearing shorts makes one "look like a beast" when running. Nice.

Why? trying to "earn" a few honks from men passing by in semis?

Adorable! Sorry they are so cute! I would wear one if I ran.
