My brother-in-law is a giant horse’s ass

CNN and MSNBC propaganda too. They want us angry and divided. I’ve stopped watching.

Divide and conquer. Same tactic they’ve been using forever.

He's entitled to his opinions, and you don't have to agree with him. Have your sister come to your house for visits, and tell her not to bring him.

Laughing at someone's death isn't quirky or a difference of opinion. It's inhuman!

People like you are as bad as the violent extremists themselves.

Oh sorry - I got groups mixed up. So Q'Anon is one of those groups that stormed the Capitol? Yeah, don't approve of that at all. Not sure who's laughing at the death of someone but not something I would approve of.

The brother-in-law responded a laughing emoji when his son or daughter posted about a fellow teacher who died of covid.

That’s cruel. The deceased teacher’s family and friends most likely saw that.

A dear friend of mine's husband went off the deep end like that as well - I went to college with him, he was very smart, got himself a great-paying job in IT but then randomly quit that for a low wage menial job with shitty hours and then got progressively more and more entangled in wackjob conspiracy theories. I still keep in touch with my friend but the last straw for me with him was one day when he and I were talking and he went off on a rant about how he thought the Sandy Hook school shooting was a "false flag" and that the victims families were "actors" - and then went on about how he tracked down the contact info for the families and was "calling them to confront them." How awful, to be harassing families who lost their children to a maniac shooter. I never spoke to him again after that. And to be honest I worry about my friend's safety and wellbeing as she is still with him - she knows she cheese has slipped off his cracker, he is full blown QAnon whereas she secretly voted for Biden - she tries to avoid talking any politics at all with him, they only stay together because they have a daughter. I tend to think that kind of behavior must be like a degenerative mental disease.

OP, if it's the laugh/crying emoji, I've had a couple older family members use that thinking it is a cry/grimace face. He might think he is posting a cry face, not a laugh face. He may be a dick in other ways, but that is pretty bold, especially if he is posting on his kids item.

+1. So much of the news these days, on all outlets, is speculation and creating drama instead of reporting facts.

Except one side is based on fact.

LOL! That chart is a load of crap. I'm a liberal and I would never put Mother Jones in the "green light news" category. And I like Mother Jones. The chart was created by liberals and for liberals.

This. I am 60 years old and made this mistake a few years ago. My DD explained it to me and I corrected myself.

I’ve seen many perfectly nice people misuse this emoticon.

It's not in the "green light news" category on this chart. It's in the yellow "fair interpretation" category, with a partisan liberal bias, very similar to MSNBC. Like the Washington Examiner for conservatives.

Perhaps he has dementia or a brain tumor?

Sounds like it's not just conspiracy theories going on...

Yeah, he could have a slow-growing CNS lesion that is doing this, they can cause personality changes

that chart is...not perfect. "Drudge report" is a news aggregator and does not offer any interpretations, and is not slanted in any direction.

And for those watching mid-day cable TV news....remember...no matter how bad the world is falling apart (whatever your perspective), get ready to see an ad for catheters, gold, or reverse mortgages. Boo ya!

Did you even read the post? Your comprehension skills are seriously weak.
