NNAT results

My kid scored 107 NNAT a couple of years ago and is in AAP with a high cogat. We didn't do any samples or questionnaires so it is possible. He was reading early, like many kids are, so that may have helped. HE is fine in AAP, but imo about half the gen ed population would be fine in AAP. Second child is going to immersion because AAP means nothing once they hit middle school and a second language will be worth more.

Can you please share more details on how to join the immersion program? My 1st grader goes to Haycock elementary.

You have to apply for inclusion. Many of the language immersion programs have a lottery due to demand. You normally have to apply in Kindergarten for first grade. I know that it is rare for the Japanese program at Fox Mill to allow non-native Japanese to join in second grade. You should contact your school if you have a first grader that you want considered for second grade, there might be a process.

Are there local R candidates who talk about real issues without bringing up Trump and his "stolen" election?

I don't think any do, but I really don't care either. It's over and they can't do anything about it. All I care about at this moment is whether or not my kids get screwed over in a misguided quest for "equity" that cuts off the top just so the bottom doesn't look as far behind.
