Would you travel to Israel this summer?

The Israeli government is disgusting and immoral and murderous.

I think its 50/50 at this point on either tamping all the way down or going much further into violence and chaos.

Either way, why chance it for something that is supposed to be a vacation?

That said I think its hypocrisy in its finest to be an American and all that entails in global politics and history, and not be able to look at Israel with nuance. Not policy that doesn't have massive questions or human rights implications yes, but also not a single thing that the US would not or has not done in the name of its "national security" interests. If you step foot here, live here, etc you can are being performative about not going there, solely for their use of force in a 70 year, messy as hell, undeclared conflict, IMO

I would like to go to Israel some day but I’m not planning to go out of the country this summer. Seems like hassle with the coronavirus restrictions etc.

Are you aware of the current events going on there?
Absolutely would not go this summer.

Civil war is breaking out in places like Lod and Acre. Bombs near Haifa. I was in Haifa 2 summers ago. It is a safe area.
The situation is rapidly deteriorating and escalating into all-out street violence and riots in mixed neighborhoods. The TLV airport is closed.
I would not go for at least a few months. Travel inside Israel will be treacherous.
